Harry Mendel Malphrus

Harry entered into eternal rest on January 8, 2003, Harry Mendel Malphrus, affectionately known by friends as Julio. Residence, Walterboro, S.C., The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Saturday morning, January 11, 2003, at 11 oclock. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Stuhrs West Ashley Chapel, Friday evening from 6 until 8 oclock. Mr. Malphrus was born in Charleston, S.C., July 5, 1950, the son of Harry Hugene Malphrus and Marcella Prine Malphrus. He was a machinist at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a member of James Island Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother, Marcella Malphrus of Charleston, S.C.; one brother, James Howell Malphrus and sister-in-law, Carolyn Malphrus both of Round-O, S.C.; one sister, Sandra M. Bryson and brother-in-law, Robert O. Bryson, III, both of Johns Island, S.C.; one nephew, Robert Austin Bryson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to James Island Baptist Church, 2023 Wappoo Drive, James Island, S.C. 29412.
